The Remote Water Supply System — Sustained Firefighting Where Hydrants Don’t Exist

October 12, 2026

Shanghai Jindun’s Remote Water Supply System addresses a critical gap in firefighting infrastructure: what happens when a major fire occurs far from any municipal water source? This integrated system, which won a 5.185 million RMB contract from Guangde City Emergency Management Bureau with a 93.44-point technical evaluation, delivers water over distances of up to 3 kilometers.

The system comprises two specialized vehicles: a pump fire truck and a hose-laying fire truck capable of deploying 3km of large-diameter hose. The pump truck draws water from rivers, lakes, or other natural sources and pushes it through the hose line to the fire scene, where it feeds fire monitors or pumper trucks.

This capability is essential for fires at industrial parks, warehouses, rural areas, or any location beyond the reach of hydrant networks. The system‘s high flow capacity and rapid hose deployment allow firefighters to establish a sustainable water supply within minutes rather than waiting for tanker shuttles.

For emergency management agencies, industrial safety directors, and fire departments responsible for large geographic areas, the Remote Water Supply System represents a force multiplier — extending firefighting reach to where it’s needed most.
